Prothesia started operations 3 years ago as a company dedicated to 3D scanning and printing of personalized leg ortheses. Working with different institutions and important organizations throughout the country which help people with this need.
Besides ortheses, Prothesia started dabbling in another area of 3D printing in health: surgical planning and educational anadomical models, successfully delivering a 3D-printed vascular stent to the National Medical Center ISSSTE 20 de Noviembre in Mexico City, which was essential for an abdominal aorta aneurysm exclusion surgery with a fenestrated prosthesis.
